Candidate Endorsement Applications Will Open After the Primaries

Watch for endorsement applications after the August primaries. Earlier endorsements may be given in some races where there is no primary and in the special House elections taking place in April.

Information for candidates applying for our endorsement.

Fems for Dems (FFD) is an independent political action committee in the state of Michigan working to elect progressive candidates.

Fems for Dems uses an on online endorsement application, which will be accessed online once the process opens. Your answers to this application will be kept confidential, but we do publicize our endorsement lists. To apply for endorsement:

We only endorse in the general election.
Our endorsement application closes about three weeks after the primaries.
If you do not submit a photo with your application, please email a high resolution head shot in png, jpg, jpeg, eps or Photoshop format to sharonbaseman@hotmail.com. Please attach the original photo file; do not insert it into the body of the email.
FFD will not accept any applications once the deadline has passed.
All applicants will be notified of our decision via email approximately two weeks after the application deadline.

Please note: we only endorse in general elections, not primaries; however, in races where voters can vote for multiple candidates (e.g., city councils, school boards, etc.), Fems for Dems may endorse more than one candidate for the same position. We also may endorse early in races where there is no primary.
